Audacity is in Trouble!

I admit that I got this story from TUAW, but it definitely needs repeating. Everyone’s favorite open-source audio editor is currently lacking mac devs. Here is the story, straight from the source:

“1.3.4 for OS X will appear when someone volunteers to compile it and sort the remaining bugs out. There is currently no-one with a Mac actively contributing to the development of audacity, hence at the moment no Mac releases.” – richardash1981

The only major requirement for doing this is installing wxWidgets, which put simply is a cross-platform GUI library. You also may want to take a look at the Audacity Team Guide for developing on a Mac. If anyone can help this would be greatly appreciated. We can’t lose the best open-source audio software for the mac!

Security Update 2007-009 1.1 [Update]

Well, it’s working now, and you might ask what sort of hackery I conceived late last night? None in fact. I woke up, and it worked. Interesting…

Security Update 2007-009 1.1

Well my wireless was working, that is until I installed this update. My installation of Leopard had been running perfectly smoothly despite others having some problems with the initial release. I have consulted Google and nothing has come up with regards to this update. Will post again once more information has become available.
