Apple Inc. – Intern, Cupertino, California
June 2008 - September 2008
Developed a distributed store prototype for the Core Data framework while working on the Core Data Development Team. The distributed store allowed a number of users to share and modify data across a network. Technologies used in the prototype included Objective-C frameworks, CFNetwork APIs, as well as BSD Sockets.

Cozi – Intern, Seattle, Washington
June 2007 - Present
Worked with a small group of software engineers to deliver increased functionality to a family oriented calendar and scheduling web application. Specific tasks included extensive testing on multiple web browsers, implementing user requested features, research and development for a server-side PDF based calendar-printing solution, as well a general focus on agile web development, the scrum process, and extreme programming.

Addison Wesley – Technical Reviewer
October 2008 - Present
Reviewed a book written on the Core Data framework. The review spanned both the initial proposal and outline for the book, as well as various drafts throughout the process. Emphasis was placed on ensuring work was accurate, well written, and included useful code examples.

Research

CommCare – Advisor: Gaetano Borriello
January 2008 - June 2008
Developed software for mobile phones using the Sun Java ME framework that is used by community health workers in Tanzania. This project enables these workers to collect detailed information and plan visits to patients.
